With the death of my parents, I would have given a 5-star rating. However, I have learned to get EVERYTHING in writing. My initial visit was to purchase a plot and marker which I did. Without going into all the details, I SPECIFICALLY told them NOT to have my marker made up as I wasn't sure if it was what I wanted and would want to ability to make changes. Some changes were make later and I AGAIN SPECIFICALLY told them NOT to have it made up as more may be coming. Found out later they made it up anyway citing a 3rd party makes them up right away and stores them because it would cost more years later. (NOT my problem since I already pre-paid for it.) When I pushed, I was told "We found nothing in writing". I asked why there wasn't a note in my file stating my wishes. Then I was told that that wasn't their procedure, i.e., markers are automatically made up. I then asked "then why wasn't I told that from the very first?" Response: "I wasn't there, ma'am." I was then told that a director would contact me and I never received a call. No sympathy whatsoever. So now I've decided to be cremated and plan to sell my plot and marker. I was told that I can sell the 'marble the bronze marker sits on' and the marker is mine to keep! Well isn't that lovely...I get to keep a marker with my name on it after I'm dead. Perhaps one of my children can use it as a door stop.
