| - So this coffee shop use to be a home over 100 yrs old. I love their use of this space. The interior has a nice open feel with plenty of Windows letting sunlight in, and beautiful high ceilings. Decor is simple, urban/industrial, and clean. Plenty of tables. There's some music playing quietly in the background, but otherwise a quiet coffee shop, nice environment for studying or working. Free wifi too!
Service is awesome. I came here twice in one day. They really value customer's opinions and aim for satisfaction. I can see in their interactions that they try to get to know their customers and build conversation..
So first I had a mocha latte. To be honest, I don't drink coffee often, and so this drink was a bit heavy/rich for me, totally a personal preference thing.. But, it was not bitter at all, which is good... I'm sipping on their iced chai right now, the chai they make themselves. A nice spiced flavor, not too overpowering.
The baked goods, I'm a Cookie Monster with a major sweet tooth... So I sampled half the stuff in their display ... The chocolate chip cookie is a thin crunchy style cookie (not chewy), a yummy CC cookie with a very rich and delicious chocolate taste. And yes, between the 4 of us, we also tried 3 of the scones. . Scones can be quite dry and dense at times... But these scones were actually light and moist, but still with that trademark outer texture, you know what i mean? I recommend the chocolate chip and/or cranberry orange..
So yea, with all the cool places to eat & drink in phx, this is a place worth checking out!
