| - First the good: Server was first rate; informed and pleasant. The courses were attractively presented, and the flan was the absolute best I've ever eaten. My pork was good, not amazing, but but very good However, my watermelon and feta salad had unripe melon, and overall lack- luster taste. My husband had kangaroo, which was so tough it defied cutting. Perhaps its muscles were buff from all that hopping...For hours afterward, my ears hurt as if I'd been to a rock concert. The music was nice, but far too loud to hold a conversation. Chic atmosphere, but as a frequent diner-outer, we expected much more. In the innovation department, Kai is still the gold standard. We would advise any foodie to try it and make his or his own decision. As for us, been there, done that.
