Had great experiences previously with my other cars in the past years. But this time with my olds 442, Joe the owner dropped ball this time. The place feels like the ownership completely changed. They berated me, tried to humiliate and tried to intimidate me. ( even the front clerk is rude and condescending) very snappy.
They refused to correct the alignment issues that was not corrected last week. My car Has been pulling left after right after doing a brake conversion. I explained to Joe the the car still pulled to the left after their shop working on last week. He asked if I been in a wreck, and he immediately blamed that it was the drums to disc brakes conversion issue saying that my car has dragging brakes or over tightened wheels bearings.... I explained to him that I'm a mechanic too and is curtain it's the alignment is off. He replied if your a mechanic then why do you have someone else work on your car!!! First of all I didn't see him initially drive the car to duplicate the fault. Even though my car wouldn't start after shutting off which I told them and usually if you wait until the car cools of it would start again.... they said it was fine and pushed it into the shop to begin alignment tuning without an initial drive.
I told him not everyone has time to work on their own cars. That I rather pay someone else to do it. I told him you can't talk to any customers the way he did.... I went and sat down inside the waiting area to figure out my options... then I had a conversation with someone else waiting explaining what just happen......
Then Joe comes back says they won't work on my car because he heard me talking to someone else!!!!! I said well you already charged for this job which wasn't done right. He continued to say it's his birthday. Whatever that means.... I left in disgust and I said this place is fucking unbelievable to myself... he then said "what"in an agitated tone and was right behind me. I sense that he wanted to confront me to lead into a challenged fight. I replied that I clearly said unbelievable not calling him any unnecessary words.
So based on my experiences I urge Yelpees bring your vehicle there at your own risks. The guy has no knowledge and skills to align classic cars. I spoke to numerous other shop owners around town about my negative experiences. One of them had tried to pass on some knowledge to him about classic cars and how they respond to modern radial tires vs bias ply. They said he was too proud and acted like he already knew. Other shop owners mentioned to me that they are unpleasant too and the owner makes bunch of excuses too. Basically they all agree that the owner guy is a jerk. I will inform my friends and family to not take their business there.
This is another sad business in town.
