First time here, and used my National Park Pass to save on the entrance fee. The scenic drive was very relaxing, but they had construction going on to repave the road. We stopped at the second stop to take some pictures of the Red Rock, and it was packed with other tourist on a Monday in March.
Didn't have time to hike any of the trails, but will probably be back. Very popular spot for rock climbers. The overlook after the 4 mile marker was really nice! You can see the whole valley. Great place to stop by if you're close to Vegas and want a change of scenery.
I overheard that on a clear day, you can see downtown. My friends and I thought we did come on a clear day, but I guess that's by Los Angeles standards.
