Stick with SuperCuts or Cost Cutters (etc.) the probability of decent haircut is the same at any of these places, but roughly a 3rd of the cost. Side note: cost was not the issue and I left a decent tip as I will never be back.
Only two things that were positive about my haircut this morning: 1) the fact that in 3-4 weeks I will be able to try and get a proper haircut again and 2) the kind receptionist.
Let me provide a brief run-down on my experience and strongly recommend that you (men) not have your hair cut at Grooming Humans. During my hair cut, I learned that my stylist would rather tell me about how hung-over she was (she did a keg stand last night) then figure out how I wanted my hair cut. Simple instructions - 1/2 inch off the top and clean-up the sides (very little off). What I got - a discussion about her two kids, comments about the gray in my hair, judgment for not having children and one of the crappiest haircuts I have had even at an eleven dollar price point. By the way, it was even implied that if I had children they would be murderers. Not an engineer or a lawyer like myself and my wife.
I know that it may be different for woman clients (i.e. maybe the stylists at GH listen and care about the client wishes) and I certainly hope so because while I will be waiting a matter of weeks to deal with this inept haircut provided by a narcissist that should be canned immediately, I would hate to have lost 4 inches to a terrible haircut as a woman and have to wait a year or more. The offending service provider is named Victoria - strongly suggest not sitting in her chair if you a looking for the most basic of haircuts.
