What a great workout! I came to orange theory for a free trial workout and I loved it. The energy is so high, the setup of the gym is super convenient for the fast transitions, and the music was perfect to pump you up!
The workout I went to started out on the treadmill for 30 minutes with a lot of interval running which was great. You can set your own pace based on how athletic you are but the instructor cues you on when to increase/decrease speed and incline. Then the second 30 minutes was in the weight area of the gym. We did different exercises each set which worked my whole body!
Everyone wears a heart monitor which is really cool! And all over the gym are tvs with names of the people there and it monitors your heart rate and a few other things throughout the workout. After the workout, your workout summary is emailed to you, again pretty neat!
The only downfall is the price. I have a hard time paying a ton of money for a gym when I have one in my apartment complex for free and also have a membership at a gym for 20$/month. The cheapest membership you can get is 70$ a month and that only gets you 4 classes per month. Then it goes up from there, there's an 8 class per month and unlimited classes per month. I can't remember the prices but obviously more than $70. And you do also have to purchase a heart monitor which is a one time fee of $70. So it definitely does get pricey in my opinion. And although I'd love to join, the price is the only thing deterring me from that.
Otherwise the workout is really great, the environment is exciting, and the people that work there are great.
