Last time I tried to make an appointment it was around the exam time or something so the receptionist offered me an appointment with someone named justin/jordan (can't recall his name but I believe it started with a J). she said he was an advanced graduate/going to be an instructor (something along those lines). anyway, i said ok and didn't mind paying extra for someone more experienced (his price was higher than the regular 35).
fast forward to my appointment. there was a long line up at reception when i walked in so one of the girls asked me who i had an appointment with, told me to grab a seat and they would tell reception for me. 15 min and i'm still waiting. my stylist walks over and confirms who i am. then asks me why i didn't check in. i;m dumbfounded and explain that i was told to have a seat. anyway, no biggie just a mix up. Anyway I found my stylist to be very rude (like i said 'oh just cut off the dead, dry ends...', his response, 'oh all hair is dead just so you know, so you mean damaged ends') and he actually hit me in the face with the brush more than once!
A few weeks later I was getting my hair styled for a friends wedding and the hair stylist commented that my hair was completely uneven and ruined (I had no clue). He asked if my stylist was a student or in a rush because he did not cut my hair properly at all. I was completely shocked. The next time I went in for a haircut I went to a new place. Stylist said the same thing, he was baffled by the uneven bizarre mess. I was completely appalled. I will no longer be coming to aveda. They are consistently raising the prices it doesn't cost that much more to get a haircut from an experienced stylist, compared to the hit and misses at aveda.
