  • I have a love hate relationship with IKEA. Love: I can buy a lot of what I would buy elsewhere for a lot less money. Storage containers, throw rugs, everyday plates, cloth napkins, blackout curtains..Hate: the winding maze that makes me feel trapped with no easy escape, some items look good from a distance but upon closer inspection will probably fall apart quickly. The furniture is quite diminutive but probably great for apartments. There are some pretty cool items like my must get strip of lights to put on the back of the tv so it's backlit and I did pick up a wall mount for my tv for only 25.00. Choose wisely, don't be in a hurry and know you will survive IKEA. If nothing else, check the place out at least once so you can judge the quality of items you may want to purchase in the future and shop online for them later.
