| - We have stayed previously and have always been impressed. Unfortunately this time was not the case. We did purchase a room package from LivingSocial and I am beginning to think they have cut services due to selling so many discounted rooms. My mother and I were travelling together and need adjoining rooms since we had my little girl with us. We went up to the check out together and the front desk gal, Toni, requested one of us get back in line and go to another staff member because it would be "easier" (for her). Since we were trying to get adjoining rooms, that would make it impossible. She told us there were no adjoining rooms at all. We asked for a suite with an adjoining but were told there were only handicapped suites available. These do not have the fantastic jetted tubs, so we did not do this. I saw every other person at the check in desk was being given wristbands. I asked Toni about this and she told me they weren't for us. Did even say what they were for. Turns out it was for the 4th of July fireworks show and we had to come back later and get them since we were supposed to be given them in the first place. She really went out of her way to be unpleasant. We were given rooms at the very end of the hotel - super long walk. If you do choose to stay here, make sure they do not put you all the way down there. Both rooms were unclean and super dusty. My room had 3 hairs in the sink, dirty glasses, beef jerky on the floor and while calling down to complain about the room a bug crawled across the desk. My mom's room was filthy, too. Upon speaking to a manager, we were moved to a suite (non-handicapped) with adjoining room. Exactly what we had requested in first place. These rooms seemed much cleaner, not dusty at all, but behind the pillow on a chair we did find a pair of dirty clothes left from a previous guest. They really need to improve on cleaning the rooms. The rooms really didn't get cool enough. You would think being in Las Vegas, they would have super a/c units. Our keys quit working twice during our stay. Got real tired of going back down to the check in desk and standing in line each time to correct this. One full day we were without phones in the room. Never got an explanation on that. They have discontinued giving little teddy bears to kids at checkout and putting robes and slippers in the rooms. Also, they only give you 3 towels in a room with 2 beds. Seriously? Don't even bother showering. There isn't enough pressure to get shampoo out of your hair. One of the 2 pools elevators did not work the entire time we were there (4 nights), so you had to wait in a long line to get back up to your room. The working elevator rattled loudly. The LivingSocial deal had food comps which were not applied correctly. Spent 20 minutes at checkout desk getting that fixed. I really wish this stay had been better because it is a great place to stay with kids, but the service has really gone downhill. I will go back to staying at the Wynn from now on.
