  • My wife's MacBook Pro had some water spilled in it. I called mac media to ask about having them take it apart and clean it to see if they could get it working. I was told to bring it in and they charge 100.00 to completely disassemble the laptop and clean it with contact cleaner and that there was a decent chance that was all it needed. They even said if it needed any parts the 100 would be deducted from what it needs. I brought it in and the guy at the counter took the bottom case off and looked at it. He said it didn't look bad and if I wanted to leave it they would take it apart and clean it with contact cleaner and see if that fixed it or what else it needed and it was 200.00. I was a little irritated that the price seemed to have doubled since my phone call a week earlier, then he continued to tell me the price had always been 200. I was completely prepared to leave it there for the 100 and have them work on it. After driving an hour to get there and then the price doubles, I was a little irritated to say the least. Not Only will they not only get my business now, but never in the future as well. As far as I'm concerned what they did was bait and switch!
