I guess I'm just a negative Nancy, but I am surprised by all the 5 star reviews because I found this place to be pretty mediocre. I arrived shortly after they opened on Saturday morning with my 2 and 3 year old nephews. The man at the office stopped me and talked for several minutes while I attempted to keep my three year old nephew standing still because he was ready to go in. Also, it says there's no fee and donations are accepted but they definitely expect a donation.
The birds are loud and the sheds/buildings they are in are messy. One of them was absolutely filled with flies which was gross to me. You can pet the goats and even go in the cage. Our visit was made less enjoyable by the mothers who allowed their 8-9 year old kids to act like complete savages, climbing trees and kicking soccer balls around the goat pen while small children are trying to pet the animals. They do have quite a few animals, but the enclosures are pretty shoddy and I didn't feel comfortable letting the kids approach too closely. If your kids like animals it may be worth checking out, but don't expect it to be a five star zoo.
