My kitten Ella is very rambunctious and so I was nervous to take her to see a vet for the first time, but she's mature enough to be spayed. Earlier this week I called to make an appointment with Dr. Hannah. To my surprise, the receptionist was able to schedule her in two days later. She was friendly and explained that Ella would need to come in for an examination and some more shots (Ella's previous owner took her for some boosters before I adopted her) before the surgery.
As soon as I walked into the vet clinic, I could feel my pet carrier start to vibrate. Ella was purring! This put me at ease after she made blood-curdling noises throughout the entire five minute drive. Ella was hesitant to come out of the cage, but one of the vet techs helped me pull her out. Ella calmed right down almost immediately and seemed really happy when Dr. Hannah was examining and vaccinating her.
Dr. Hannah is fantastic. She showed me how to brush Ella's teeth and sent me home with a FREE bag of special food that promotes dental health. There is also a complimentary kitten care pack they give out with multiple pamphlets, a blanket and a toy. I left as a satisfied, informed customer and Ella only squeaked once on the drive home - this time, out of contentment!
