  • I was about to head into the ever-adventurous Kensington Market area, when something in the corner of my eye forced me to take a double take. I found it hard to believe that a store exists that sells nothing but popcorn, but as I soon found out, Toronto Popcorn Company has taken the mantle. If you've ever thought, "I wonder if I can put 'insert crazy topping' on my popcorn", TPC probably has it. I have no idea how many flavours they have in stock, but you should be able to take a guess from all of the walls stacked with popcorn as well as some shelves. "How do the flavours actually taste though?" Well my friend, I have no idea for the most part, but I can say that of the samplers that I tried, they ranged from "pretty good" to "pretty delicious". Therein is one of the benefits of this store; you can nibble on samples before buying! Of course, don't be a chump, go around tasting, and not buy anything. As long as you don't settle on something like grape flavour, you'll be alright. It's novelty popcorn, so it won't be super cheap, but I'd go back without question. The staff is nice and the popcorn is plentiful. Stop by for a treat.
