  • First off I would like to express how important I think it is to adopt pets who need loving homes. However, If I could go back I would of not chosen to adopt through A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue. I adopted a 2 year old dog who had some health issues. However, Desiree had promised and even provided medical records to prove that she was now in good health. Less then 12 hours after adoption we took our new dog for a check-up only to find that she had a serious infection as a result of her spaying. She was also diagnosed with Kennel Cough. 2 Vet visits later we paid out over $600.00. I reached out to Diana (President/ founder) to make her aware of the situation and also ask that some of the $250 adoption fee be returned to help pay for this pre-existing issue. Diana was nothing but rude and uncompassionate. She refused to speak on the phone and only responded to text messages. I am disgusted that a person like this is running an Animal Rescue. She seemed to not even care about the well being of the sick dog we adopted from her. Diana comes off extremely greedy and not caring at all. I understand that there are risks when adopting an animal, however, I do expect to be treated with respect and compassion from a so called president and founder of an animal rescue.
