  • I needed my rental locks rekeyed - normally I'd go to Ace in Ahwatukee but remembered this hardware store tucked away in the old Fry's location - Dave's. The guy was rescreening window and sliding glass door frames when I came in. I will have to remember that. Last time I tried at Ace the turnaround time was a week - so I did it myself. I will consider Dave's next time - turnaround for the customer before me was quoted at a day. Rekeying worked great - I will definitely consider Dave's next time I need something. He said 5 locks would be rekeyed in an hour - but it did take longer. That would be my only complaint. Add a fudge factor to any estimate - run an errand while they work. Since Fry's closed recently their business has been hurt - so consider throwing them some business - and traveling back in time to the way hardware stores use to be.
