| - I was driving home last Saturday, 17Jun, when my tire pressure light came on. Right Toyota was close, so I drove straight to their service area, hopped out, and could hear what I thought was a buzzing or whistling sound. It was about 10-15 minutes before they were scheduled to close, so I braced myself for horrible service and/or serious attitude. Sure enough, the employees looked up at me from behind their desks, then looked down, ignoring me.
I stepped inside and softly pleaded for someone to come out. I acknowledged the fact that it was close to closing time, but advised that the light had JUST come on, and asked if there was a quick fix. The younger service employee came out. He said he could hear the noise too. He put his hand around my left rear tire and informed me that the noise was air escaping from that tire. Again, I acknowledged the lateness of the hour, saying, "I know that you're about to close, but is there anything that you can do just so I can make it elsewhere?" He said no; all of his mechanics had gone home. He directed me to the Discount Tire, about 2 miles down the road. He said, "You'll be fine."
Bewildered, I returned to my vehicle. As I did, I saw no less than 6 mechanics walking about. One of whom, at this point, was standing right next to my vehicle. He obviously heard my leaking tire because he looked up at me, then looked down toward my rear tire with confliction... However, he continued to walk inside with the service man who'd just sent me away. The mechanic even looked back a second time.
In the end, I did make it down the road to Discount Tire, but barely. With the 115 degree heat, that tire was completely flat when I arrived. Luckily, it didn't damage the rim. I will never patronize Right Toyota. Even though I live nearby, I will drive the 30 minutes down to Camelback Toyota for so much as an oil change. Congratulations, Right Toyota. You played yourself.
