  • One word... Brutal. That is my experience of "shopping" or attempting to shop at the Scottsdale Restoration Hardware. Make no mistake, as a designer, I am a big fan of the look and many pieces that they carry and the presentation is stunning. The problem is, they forgot to include salespeople that bother to even pretend to care about helping potential customers. This review is not based off of an isolated visit either. I have attempted on several occasions to even get a glimmer of recognition that I am in the store from the sales staff, let alone actual help. Nothing... Nada. They literally will walk right past you and this is on days when it wasn't even busy with two or three salespeople milling about. Not a smile, not a hello, nothing. Once after touring through the entire store and never once even having a sales rep bother to make eye contact with me, I simply had had enough. On my way out of the store I literally had to split between two of the staff who were clogging up the walkway talking to each other and STILL neither one said a word to me! I stopped, turned around and approached them both asking how it was that a potential customer could spend 10 minutes in their store and never once be even acknowledged as being alive? I let them know that I actually could afford to buy their preciously overpriced items and perhaps they should treat me as an "equal"... Unbelievable. What a crappy brand experience. Typical for Scottsdale however. I wonder if all Restoration Hardware stores are now that way?
