| - I've waited years to experience this restaurant, and I can't believe I waited so long. Everything was scrumptious. Party of four, we started with the onion soup, escargo, hand cut potato chips, and baked scallops. The potato chips were served with a side of bleu cheese, the escargo (to my liking) was unaccompanied by their shells, and the scallops - wish there were more than 3 on the plate. The onion soup - WOW! The best french onion I've ever had in my life.
Our courses includes Steak frittes, chicken palliard, and a fresh sea bass (which always troubles me - Las Vegas is a desert - how fresh could the fish really be?) The steak frittes is a chopped steak with one of 3 sauce choices, we went with peppercorn, the frittes - eh not so good - basically they were really deep fried potato sticks. We ordered a side of mashed garlic potatoes instead. The chicken - great lemon flavor, a bit dry on the edges, but the french beans were crunchy and perfect. The Sea Bass (I heard) was tasty.
DESSERT - bananas foster, bread pudding, and profiteroles. Every dish had ice cream on it (which was kind of boring). The bread pudding was the table fave - very light, with some caramel, and golden raisins.
Service - was great, no complaints.
I do advise - all the food is heavy, so definitely allow yourself some recovery time from this enjoyable food. Our meal lasted 4 hours - all of the food was timed perfectly.
For a light refreshment try the Sage tea...I had it iced.
