| - This place is a ton of fun. It lets you loose your inner viking with an assortment of throwable weaponry.
So this place has standard axe throwing, as well as specialty weapon and trick shot packages. Our groupon allowed for all of them, which was awesome. I especially enjoyed throwing the two-handed axe and the spear. Honorable mentions go to the ninja stars, which were very easy to get to stick, but somewhat difficult to throw, and the metal playing cards (think Gambit in X-Men), which were very cool, but not very effective.
You throw axes, spears, and other weapons at tree stumps in the wall. There's not much else to say than that. There are several bays that are separated by fences and that have their own set of axes. You can have two people throwing at a time in each bay.
There are a variety of games that you can play, which would be fun for repeat visits. On our group's first visit to this place, however, we found more than enough to play around with; we only played one or two games where we kept score. One game involved putting a paper box in the middle of the target. The box had a gambling chip that you could redeem for a prize. I am proud to announce that I secured one of three gambling chips in our group of 9.
The staff was helpful and enthusiastic about the activities, too, which made things a lot of fun. They enjoyed our group and worked to ensure we had a good time. I appreciated that. Highly recommend.
