  • It's actually been a little bit since I saw Dr. Huish, but my experience the last time was definitely worth a solid review. I entered the appointment with some skepticism about my cavities and let the front office know I'd like to review my cavities with the doctor BEFORE we did anything. Dr. Huish was incredibly kind and personable (which surprised me because I'm used to resistance, condescension, and dismissal when I start with my questions with different doctors) and ended up spending an extensive amount of time taking pictures of my teeth, showing me where the cavities were, using the laser to gauge tooth density and explain what the readings meant and what constitutes a "cavity" in the first place. He constantly asked to make sure I understood and checked to make sure I didn't have even the slightest question, worry, or doubt before we began. The whole experience was conversational and friendly, but also very educational. At no point did I feel that my inquiries were a bother or disruptive to him, and in fact at all times he took extra care to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with all the answers. He also didn't push anything on me- he educated me about what was going on with my teeth, made his recommendations, and encouraged me to make the best decision for me. Dr. Huish went above and beyond any care I've received from a dentist or any other health care professional. Thanks for taking the time to make sure I was absolutely confident in your care before even beginning your work-you certainly made one hell of an impression! Cheers and of course, SMILES :D
