I'm all about overall customer service and experience. I feel the customer service between Home Depot and Delta is not consistent or reliable. We initially received two different quotes between the Home Depot sales associate and the Home Depot main customer service line. After initially getting everything taken care of and installed, per the county of San Diego it requires a home inspection. Our inspector was very kind in approving our water heater installation with a caveat that the company comes back and corrects the exhaust flue to have the proper connection. I have called them 3 times (over the course of three weeks) trying to get this resolved. The customer service is lacking big time and accountability is non-existent. My suggestion for anyone considering going through Home Depot is to verify the installation company. If it is Delta I wish you the best and hope your experience isn't as frustrating as ours has been. Looking back I wish we would have asked who the installation company was. Had we known beforehand based on reviews we would have not gone this route.
