The stars I'm giving are for the gaming portion of the casino. The tables are fun and for the most part the dealers are nice.
As for the hotel. . We booked the room over the phone and we were under the impression that we were staying at the D.. their sister casino. But after parking on the eighth floor of the D, we stood in line at registration for about 10 mins and then found out we were staying at the golden gate. Originally we thought that it would be a nice new experience. We have stayed at a few downtown casinos. Well as soon as we walked in the closet of a room..we wish we didn't reserve the room for our full stay. All these other reviews are so right and I wish I had read them before coming here. we were told at check in that they didn't have any two bed rooms available. The bed is barely a queen size.. if it actually is. The shower is either too hot or too cold. You can hardly open the bathroom door because the toilet is in the way. I can imagine that if you are going to be out partying your whole stay, then yes. . This is the hotel for you. I'm guessing the rooms here are normally fairly cheap during the week but not this week. At $65 a night, I feel ripped off. I will not be staying here again unless they offer a suite or something. The employees were nice and check in was a breeze. I didn't care about what my view was from my window so no loud music like others reviewed.
