| - The phone call from the manager @ 7:00 am ruined the trip for me. I normally stay at The Hilton Center City but I wanted to try something new. I reserved a Superior room for the weekend and was asleep when I received a call saying they could not verify my card. The hotel room was paid for, $50 hold was already on the card. The manager confirmed this after i had to wake up, verify my name, address, how my name appears on the card, get up and locate the card, give the card number, expiration date, code on the back all on the morning of checkout . 7 am .. And she confirmed all charges were paid and she could see the $50 hold. I couldn't go back to sleep after that. How many other guests had to do that ? Why was I targeted for verification when everything is OK, paid for and you see everything in front of you? I didn't appreciate it, understand it, or like it at all. Nice room and the rest of the staff was polite.
