My friend told me about their 20 lb challenge so I emailed them and made plans to attend the orientation on a Wednesday morning. I wasn't able to make it due to work and then when I went in Friday on my day off yhey weren't taking any new members. I was really disappointed but they offered me a two week free trial so I gladly accepted.
I was planning to go on my friends 3rd and 4th weeks to help her keep up the motivation but I was seriously missing my workout buddy so I started on her 2nd week in. I have a ridiculous love/hate relationship with this place. I hate it while I'm doing it but not much feels better than leaving there a sweaty mess.
The trainers are truly amazing! Cass is my favorite, she makes me challenge myself and keep going when I want to give up. She's also great about helping you correct your form and showing you modifications when needed.
The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 3 is the price. I really want to continue but the membership prices are steep. I'm planning to talk to someone Friday to see if I can do a two week membership to start since I can't commit to longer just yet but don't want to stop going. There isn't much equipment needed for the exercises but I know I won't push myself the way I do when I'm in a group setting like this.
If you're thinking about trying out the 6 week challenge and have the weight to lose, do it! The hardest part is eating healthy and showing up. There are people of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels in the classes so don't worry about feeling embarrassed! We all get through it together every day. Good luck!
