Environment: I felt like I was dining in a cafeteria. It was just one big open room. There was nothing interesting about the decor. Serendipity is supposed to have the reputation of having a cozy and pleasant environment, but this location failed that expectation.
Service: The server was friendly which was good except he disappeared after taking my order. Fortunately, the hostess was awesome enough to help me throughout the rest of my meal. The food was taking a bit longer than expected so she was the one that checked on the progress of the food, packed up my doggy bag after I was done, and closed out my check. She is probably the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars.
Food: I ordered a steak sandwich. The steak was waaayyyy too tough to even bite through. Took me MINUTES to get chew one bite of it. I know this place is supposed to be known for their dessert but after already being disappointed, I threw in my towel.
I'd recommend coming here if you're in the mood for an overpriced fancy dessert.
