  • I was excited to try this gym out because I heard it was a pretty cool place. I was a General manager of a gym and have run gyms for a lot of my life. When I arrived in the gym I was greeted by Bobby the regional manager and she seemed pretty cool, a little immature, but still a nice person. I signed up with her after seeing the gym and was happy with my choice. The next morning I showed up and the gym was suppose to open at 5am and it was almost 7am. I waited for about half an hour and concluded no one was coming. I am very serious about my workouts and I take fitness very serious so I was a bit upset and a lot of people would be. I drove down the street and reactivated my old membership at a different gym. I came back to this Youfit location in the afternoon and spoke to Bobby, I explained what happened and told her I signed up at a different gym and I needed to rescind the contract at Youfit (AZ has a right to rescind law making it possible for someone to cancel a contract within 3 business days). She attempted to keep me as a member which is her job so I would expect nothing less as I would do the same. I explained I liked the other gym more and I wont be continuing at Youfit. Bobby's body language completely changed and she rolled her eyes with an added chuckle/smerk. The front desk girl behind her shook her head and chuckled as well. This just solidified my position on wanting to leave you fit and never returning. Bobby printed out my paperwork and stated I will have a refund within 14 business days. To date it has now been 23 business days with no refund. I called the Youfit club and asked the front desk attendant to look up my account and see when I will be receiving it. She tells me that Bobby put a note in the file stating "wants to cancel, but not interested in refund" this was very disturbing because why in the world would I or anyone not want a refund when they have the legal right to receive the refund! I asked the front desk attendant if I can have a corporate number so that I can get my money back and she stated THEY HAVE NO CORPERATE NUMBER AT ALL and they will only be able to give me an email address. I have emailed, but received no response thus far. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the actions of Youfit and the disrespect shown to me by their staff and regional manager. I acted respectfully the whole time and deserve no such treatment. I'm sure most people have a good time at Youfit because it is a nice gym, but keep it in mind that if you have an issue and you express it to the staff you may just feel worse with the disrespect they may show you. Not only are the actions of the regional manager disrespectful and mean, but what she did by not refunding my money in accordance with the 3 day right to rescind law is very much so illegal... and I want no part of a company whos regional manager breaks laws in such a easy way. I truly hope others do not have to be treated the was I was by You Fits regional manager.
