rev:text	When you first arrive at El Chorro, expectations are high because of its location, it's valet ($6) service, and its entrance/atmosphere. However, the restaurant fell short due to its food (mainly the appetizers) for its price. For our table of 9, i think we ordered about 5 appetizers. Because sharing is caring, I had a chance to try all of them. To be honest, i wasn't not impressed by most of them. I felt the fried items tasted fried. The sausage bites weren't anything special. The pretzel bread it came with are sliced and weren't soft as pretzel bread usually is by the time i got ahold of them. The foie gras was pretty good, but it came with 3 or so mini pieces of toast. The board wasn't bad, but again for a $30 price tag...I'm not sold. As for the entrees, I ended up getting an vegetarian dish (polenta) and I added a protein to it, which was suggested by the waitress. I liked the polenta dish a lot and its flavors. It outshined the salmon i ordered with it. And the only thing I knew about El Chollo before coming was it had great sticky buns. These we had to ask for, and they were pretty good - just a little sweet but expected. I can't speak for the other entrees, but I heard the lamb was tender and it fell off the shank and the prime rib was good, cooked to asked temperature. Overall my personal experience is a 3 star because I don't think I would come back as the prices don't justify the food or service. There are other nice comparable options.
