  • I was in the area looking at antiques and decided to mozy into Larchmere Oriental Rugs simply to look around and see what they had. We were greeted by a very angry poodle lunging at the door and barking. After the owner calmed the dog down, she made it fairly obvious by her demeaner and tone that she didn't feel like we belonged in her shop. Although they seemed to have a fairly decent selection of rugs, there prices were extremely high for the quality of the rugs in their inventory. I have purchased numerous Oriental rugs in the past and felt the prices were unfair. Although I had no intention on buying anything on the day I visited anyways, I certainly wouldn't return in the future, especially after seeing their dog bounce all over the entire inventory without any concern for the fact that I may not want a dog dry-humping my new rug. I'll pass on this place.
