The day of the wedding she informed us that we couldn't have our reception there as planned and moved my guests to another building! Some got lost and the elderly people were too tired to drive somewhere else. Plus we wanted the beautiful outdoor setting we paid for.
She also told us she'd have seating for 200 (when I brought my dad to see it he commented that it didnt seem big enough for 200 but she told him it was). 150 of my 200 guests had to stand. We had to fight to use sound equipment to we were told would be set up but was no where to be found. It was so stressful.
We paid in advance...I don't believe she would have pulled such bullshit if she hadn't been paid already. IMO this venue is better suited to smaller gatherings (under 100) not a larger wedding like mine. Don't pay in advance and have a trusted family member in charge of cards and gifts. We didn't receive all of ours.
