Not really a resort more like a Day's Inn with a slight upgrade. Staff was friendly and helpful albeit a bit argumentative at check in regarding a gift certificate.
The funny part is that I went to the real resort first by mistake down the street and was very hopeful but soon realized I was at the wrong hotel with oddly the same name. If I am going to visit Scottsdale, I plan on staying at a resort and sadly this hotel falls somewhat short of that mark. Not sure what the added resort fee is all about, as there was no resort type activities to take part in or no resort facilities. The fitness center was a joke and the dilapidated tennis courts need some serious work; reminded me of a downtown public park overgrown and with trash blowing around them.
The best part of this hotel is the price. I guess you get what you pay for; the nightly rate is very reasonable. Sorry McCormick overall not that impressed. 3-stars for sure.
