I will never, ever purchase another product from Best Buy. I have purchased many items from this Company and have had mixed results ... until I bought my 55" TV. I purchased a SONY Bravia TV in June for about $50 more than it was available elsewhere.
The Sony rep (you know who you are) at the E Springs store explained to me over and over how when I bought the thousand dollar TV I would get "Reward Points" worth $100 bringing the price to a more competitive price.
Three months later, they gave me a $25 rewards certificate to shut me up (Didn't work that well) One of the worst and most reprehensible cases of bait and switch and outright lying by a sales rep I have ever seen.
Please, for the love of everything good in the Universe, spend your money someplace else.
Update - 8/16 My daughter went to Best Buy against my pleading and was met with more horror. The reward certificate they so graciously applied to my account was shown as redeemed the day it was issued. It was clear to everyone, including the store manager, that wasn't the case. We stood somewhat bemused as the manager called Best Buy customer support and pleaded with them for some semblance of customer service and/or humanity.
Not so much, they hung up on him.
I've gone from furious to disgustedly amused ... Somewhere a CEO made 12.9 MILLION dollars for building and overseeing a sham of a brand. Congratulations to Best Buy for amassing a fortune lying and treating your customer like dirt ... a job well done if that was your intent. Shame on you,
