  • Beerfest in the summer was so much fun at the convention center! The location was perfect (walking distance of anywhere downtown) and it was not overcrowded. The views were fabulous and It was so neat to have this green grassy venue with a beautiful overlook in the city. For the event, they could have had more bathrooms, as towards the middle of the event, the lines were a minimum of a 10 minute wait, and ran out of toilet paper (that's why you bring your own to these events!). Also the hand washing stations ran out of soap and water, and did not have hand sanitizer- gross. Otherwise the event was lots of fun and there were a good variety of food trucks there, too. It rained a bit at the event, but everyone just huddled under the tents and waited it out. There was karaoke which I don't remember at past events.
