  • Just finished my first driving experience. Wow! That was amazing! I've never been the kind of guy that loves cars as some do. However, I first heard about Speed Vegas while it was under construction and thought I might actually like to try a lap or two around the track. I'm so glad I did! I was able to attend opening day. The track is just located about 5 minutes South of the M Hotel (St Rose Pkwy & LV Blvd) or 15 minutes from the Strip. Just look for two giant white tents off the left side of the car as their main building is still under construction. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly staff and they got us signed in quickly (make sure you reserve a spot online first). We were handed a wristband that helps them track you down while you're there and how quickly you're moving from place to place. After that, you attend a 10 minute debrief. Even though I was eager to drive, I found these instructions pretty useful so I could have the best driving experience. Shortly after that I was in a car and on my way! I ended up doing 5 laps in a red Lamborghini Huracan. One of the staff drivers said it was his favorite on the track. You can drive the car in either automatic or manual. Since I'm not very experienced, I split my time and did both. My first lap I had to get the hang of the turns, but by lap 3 I was flying through the turns. The best part was getting up to 120 mph on the straightaway towards the end of the first lap. After the 5 laps were complete, I wanted to do more, so next time I'll probably consider closer to 10. It was such a thrill! Once you complete your drive, you can purchase the video of your drive for a small fee. It has video of both the drivers seat and front of the road ahead. In the future you'll be able to hang out, enjoy some food and watch others on the track from a roof deck patio. I can't wait for that! Overall I had an AMAZING driving experience. I can't wait to go back!
