I filled up my car at Costco Gas in Hawthorne, CA before departing on a road trip to Las Vegas, NV to meetup with family visiting from out of State.
I drive a small Hybrid that gets incredible gas mileage (at times 60+ mpg). After a long road trip from L.A. to L.V., several trips from my Hotel to the Bikram Yoga studio (Wagon Trail near Airport) & Trader Joe's on Decatur Blvd I needed gas before driving back to the Los Angeles area. Quite frankly I probably still could have made it back to State Line on the same tank of gas but didn't want to risk it.
As I was leaving Yoga on the final morning of my visit I began searching out Costco Gasoline Stations in the Greater Las Vegas area and was stoked to find one literally within the shadows of the Hotel I was staying at (Golden Nugget).
I knew exactly where I needed to go and found this Gas Station with no problem whatsoever. I arrived shortly before noon and found the navigation from the street (MLK Blvd) to the gas pumps to be quite easy. The individual lines of customers waiting to gas up was nonexistent. This was refreshing compared to what I am used to at my home base Costco Gas location which is an absolute madhouse.
The prices of the Gas beat the lowest price I observed while driving around Las Vegas days prior by anywhere between 0.25 & 0.75 a gallon.
I pulled up to the pump, no problems with the pump accepting my Costco membership card, ATM/Debit card and the pumps even issued receipts if you want one for your records. As I was pumping gas I observed 2 Costco employee's walking around from pump to pump ensuring that all customers were having no issues.
I do not travel to Las Vegas all that often but when I do it is always the Golden Nugget. It is nice to know the next time I do venture off on a little road trip that I can gas up at this Station right before jumping on the 15S & heading back to the Casa.
Just an FYI the 15N/S is located within a stone's throw of this Station, it pays to be a member!!!
