  • Some years ago I was with a friend and her phone broke a few blocks away. We saw this store and stopped in to get some help. An employee there fixed the phone in a few minutes, handed it back and said there was no charge. My friend was ready to buy a new phone if needed or pay for it to be fixed. Instead the clerk there took a minute, expressed some empathy and helped someone who wasn't even a customer. I knew then that if I ever needed to change plans, I would try this store first. Today was the day and I was not disappointed. I went in today to switch over my existing family plan to a new one buy new phones. I met with Alex who is easily the most knowledgeable person I have met when it comes to phones and plans. No pressure, no hurry, just patience, lots of answers and a willingness to explain even the smallest details as needed. Ive been to Best Buy before and sat through an hours long sales and activation process. This was not that. I ported both my numbers, purchased 2 phones, created a new family plan and was all done in under 30 minutes, while feeling confident that I got the best possible outcome given my family's needs. As I left the store I did mention that I had a little anxiety about our numbers porting correctly. We had been using one of those little known affiliate networks, so there was a little debate on whether we would run into technical problems. An hour after leaving the store, Alex actually called to let me know that everything had worked out fine and even followed up with some plan clarifications. The last time I got a call back from a sales office was my Army Recruiter. The other great thing about this store is they have lots of plan and phone options. The bonus is they have well trained employees who can help you navigate the plethora of options with a refreshing dose of honesty and understanding.
