  • First off, I want to say I absolutely LOVED this salon before. So be warned: you will LOVE this place, until something like this happens to you. I had a set of acrylics and a couple of pedicures that I was satisfied with. However, my experience with my gel manicure AND the rude treatment from the manager at the salon made me decide I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I went in on a Friday, by the NEXT day--three of my gel nails were chipped. I went in on Monday and the tech that was going to "fix" the nails buffed off SOME of the existing gel on ALL my nails and set a coat on top. The entire time she was a total grump and rushing through the process. I left with great looking nails. The FOLLOWING day, the gel she put on was literally PEELING OFF. So now chunks of the NEW gel were off, the old BUFFED gel was creeping through and I was FULL of chips. I didn't have a chance to go back, though. Who has time to go back THREE TIMES in a one week period? So the following Monday (with horrendous looking nails a WEEK after the "fix") I called in to see what could be done or if they could just remove it all together. The manager was BEYOND rude to me. He accused me of being tired of my color and wanting them to change it at no cost. I told him it was not the COLOR that i didn't like, it was the bad manicure. (after all I STILL have the color on my toes) He said it was NOT a bad manicure and that he couldn't do anything about the fact I thought it was. He said they only guarantee three days and anything after that is MY FAULT. Oh, and that "everyone who goes to the salon knows there's a three day guarantee" and if it was a bad manicure I should have gone within the three days. I think anyone with a JOB can agree--who has time to keep going back over and over because it looks like crap? After I realized they weren't going to FIX them, I asked if they could just take it off at no cost. He said NO and that it would cost me $10. I spent around $30 bucks on my gel manicure that ONLY looked good for ONE DAY--I had to go in and have it fixed AGAIN and the day after THAT they were even worse. THEN the manager is rude and wants to charge me to REMOVE the crap job from my nails? HELL NO. Never again. By the way, I used Du Nails for gel before and only had to get a NEW set because of nail growth. My nails grow REALLY fast but at the VERY least, I always got two weeks.
