| - Is it one of the best markets in the world? I dunno about that. I do know I always bring tourists/visitors here and they like it.
There are two markets. The North building has farm-fresh produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, etc. They always have tables set up outside the building as well.
The south market is filled mostly with cheesemongers, purveyors of meats, and produce/fruit stalls. There are a couple of bakeries as well. The wide variety of cooked foods, including a delicious pasta shop in the back, will certainly meet the needs of a light snack or a full on gorge-fest. Don't forget the lower level where you can meander through the corridors of even more little shops for foodstuffs, trinkets, etc.
Since the market area is under renovation and in the midst of construction, the antique market is now south of the south building.
