Came here to catch up with an old friend a few weeks before classes started, so the area was a lot less crowded than it would be today. It's at a great location right on Mill Avenue, and we sat up at the bar for a late lunch.
Originally just planning on catching up over a Guinness, we decided to check out the lunch menu and I ended up ordering a pretty delicious burger. The Irish chips that accompanied the burger were a great break from normal French fries; a couple dashes of malt vinegar made them perfect. I'd highly recommend giving them a shot if you haven't tried them before.
Rain started pouring as a monsoon swept through Tempe during lunchtime, and the weather just happened to complement the Irish decor perfectly. We ended up striking up a conversation with the bartender and found out that he grew up in a neighborhood next to mine back in California. He even ended up showing us a few of his bartending tricks. Great guy, great food, and a great experience.
