This used to be a favorite for my husband and I as well as a great place to bring my Mom and out-of-town friends. Cross it off the list as of today. We hadn't been in a couple of months and used to go regularly. We were in the area to hike Camelback so we thought we'd go to our trusted stand by brunch spot, Taylor's. After waiting 10 minutes for anyone to pay attention to us at our table, we looked at the menus and noticed a lot of changes - mainly, the prices have gone way up and they have changed a number of menu items.
Now, I'm all for changing up a menu, but increasing the price of a yogurt parfait by $2 and changing nothing about it, doesn't really fly. The caramelized onion, blue cheese and (new) chicken sausage used to be amazing...it was average. And they changed the granola in the parfait which wasn't very good and we used to think was some of the best we'd had. My iced chai which I used to drive 20 minutes for was not even good and it's just a mix - how do you get that wrong? Very sad...
Not sure if it's new ownership or what, but paying $30 for brunch that was mediocre is out of the question. I am so bummed because we've been coming here for years but with the increased prices, decreased quality and lack of service, we're sadly saying sayonara.
