  • I was having an intimate destination wedding in Vegas and I called the bakery department a month ahead of time to see if they would be able to make a small wedding cake for us a couple days before the wedding. The woman Kathy (manager) on the phone was wonderful she said that they could for sure accommodate my needs. She Gave me details on what to ask for when I got in. She provided both her name and a decorator's name at the store to ask for when I arrived. Long story short and a $40 cab drive later, we get to Smithe's and Kathy is there and now stating that she can't help and doesn't want to mess up our wedding cake. Waste of my time! Very unprofessional.
