| - I luckily stumbled on this hotel using Booking.com (which I HIGHLY recommend!)
We landed a killer deal on this hotel, but it would have been worth the full price rate. Reception staff was very friendly, unassuming and welcoming. The young lady was so nice and helpful.
The room was INSANE! It was HUGE! Having a living room area and kitchenette in a room that isn't a "suite" is a giant bonus. The room was so incredibly clean, well-lit, well-decorated and well-equipped. There were dishes, a mini-fridge and water bottles (for free!). Also, FREE WI-FI!
Saltwater pool was amazing. The best thing though?
ROOFTOP. HOT TUB. It was -35 but my boyfriend and I were able to share a romantic evening on the roof. Our hair froze quick but being on top of the city with all the bright lights, sitting in a hot tub in the cold was unreal. The only problem is that the DJ (there was a two-story screen playing music and their corresponding videos) left as soon as we got there, which was, as we were told by security, over half an hour earlier than he was supposed to.
As security kicked us out for the night, he was a super kind, caring guy that added to our experience.
Overall, four stars. Amazing experience except what I'll say below.
Only downside was the DJ leaving early so the music stopped (which was nice in a way -- was very peaceful) and the complimentary breakfast guys in the hotel's restaurant were quite rude to me. I was treated like a child and was made to sign a room slip because, as the man said, they weren't sure if I was a guest.
If it wasn't for this, I'd give it 5/5. But, besides the morning staff, it was A-MA-ZING.
