| - I had such a horrible experience here! Seriously be careful if you are thinking about trading in a bike! They try to trick you into applying for a loan by saying they will give you a decent price for your trade in as long as the inspection goes well.
Not one but two employees looked over my bike and said it looked good, just a minor concern about a possible leak but I explained that what they thought was a leak was me just being messy with my chain lube. I know the bike runs great so wasn't worried about the inspection finding anything wrong with the mechanics of it. Since both of them kept saying it looked good and seemed so positive, I go inside to start the process for a loan for the remainder of the cost of the bike I wanted.
TWO full hours later, one of the men comes back and tell me I'm approved for the loan and he was able to get it down to the price I wanted, but they are still waiting on the mechanic. Then a little bit later the other guy comes back and says he saw the head mechanic looking at my bike and didn't hear any negative feedback so it was looking good. After another 30 minutes the first guy comes back and says he wants to show me "problems" with my bike. Long story short, he points out VERY OBVIOUS "faults" with my bike that could be easily seen, no need for a mechanic to point them out. Nothing he tells me is a mechanical issue but he then says he can only offer me 1/3rd of the original offer he gave me!! He then goes on to try and talk me into financing the whole cost of the bike. He says to just sale my bike online and that I would easily get what I want for it. How does that make sense!? Its good enough to sale on my own but not worth them selling it? Despite the fact that the "faults" with my bike aren't hidden mechanical problems that a buyer would be unaware of.
So after waiting around for nearly 3 hours getting my hopes up the entire time that I'd be leaving with the bike I want, I walk away with nothing but a bad mood and a pointless inquiry on my credit. I truly feel like I was given false hope intentionally and then strung along for hours so that by the time the told me the "bad" news I'd be so set on the bike, I'd just go along with their ridiculous suggestion. I think being a female who was honest about my limited knowledge about bikes made them think I was an easy target.
Oh and after telling me he couldn't give me what he said he would for the trade in and was trying to sale me on just buying the bike without the trade in, he tried to seem like he was doing me a favor because he took $500 off the cost of the bike. The bike was listed at just under $6000. Yet when I looked at the page he was holding in his hand, the loan offer was for over $7200. So apparently I was going to be charged $1700 in taxes and fees for a 5,5000 bike. Seeing as taxes would be less than $500, means the fees were $1200! That seems ridiculous. When I asked if I could have the offer sheet, he got awkward about it and said they keep it on file incase I want to come back in the next 30 days. Seems to me that he just didn't want me taking a good look at it.
