  • Easter weekend was my first time seeing a show at The Colosseum. My husband is a big Elton John fan, so we decided to take the family to see his show. We had eaten dinner next door at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. When we exited the Forum, there was a solid yellow line that you followed (think yellow brick road) to the doors of the Colosseum. Cool. Despite the crowds, it was easy to maneuver inside. They had escalators taking you upstairs (our seats were in the 1st Mezzanine). Imagine my surprise when we saw our awesome seats. We had opted not to sit orchestra level because they were very pricy. The 1st Mezzanine was cheaper and we opted for the back row because someone is always having to get to the bathroom in my family. I was concerned with the overhang of the floor above us, but that wasn't a problem. We had a clear view of the stage and no overhang to contend with. But that wasn't the best part, the seats were LARGE and had cupholders. I was amazed. Plus, there was no one behind us, so there was no feeling bad about getting up, be it to get another drink or dance. Awesome. We went to grab drinks and the line was very long, but that was if using a credit card. If you had cash, you could jump into a shorter line to grab a beer or wine. Overall, I thought this was a great venue, but my only complaint is the tickets are overpriced. Oh well, its Vegas.
