This is as old-fashioned a family-run shoe shop as you could ever want. The shop smells like leather and polish, and there are piles and piles of shoes and bags waiting for repair everywhere.
And Gino is just about the nicest man ever.
I dropped off two pairs of boots for Gino to repair, and he did a smashing job, repairing a split seam in one pair, replacing the zipper in the other, and then cleaning and polishing them, all for the very low price of $15. Really, I don't think the prices could be any lower for the work that he did.
It did take a long time for the repair to get done (I think there was a family emergency one week, and then he didn't have the zipper in house so had to order it). I would advise you to call ahead to find out whether he's finished.
