| - I've been here multiple times, and overall really love it. The food here has almost always been really excellent, and I'll admit, I'm shallow. So I fall for the hip decor and the fact that the waiters are cool and cute and the waitresses have tats and a wardrobe to die for. It's great both inside and outside, and their outdoor patio IS dog friendly!
Their Windsor style Backyard Burger is really great. It's enormous, and juicy and about ready to fall apart when you bite into it. I've also had their brunch items. My Easy Rider fritatta took some warming up to, but in the end I fell for the combination of summer tomatoes and tart goat cheese. My husband had the Matador, and it is incredible. I don't normally go for that combination of flavors, but just wonderful. Hands down so much better than what I got, though that too was good. Also, if it doesn't come with your brunch, splurge on the bacon side. INCREDIBLE. There's something that Tenderbelly does to their bacon, but it was smokey and sweet and just whoa.
We've had their cheddar fondue and their devilled egg dip for appetizers, and both are great. The fondue was smooth and silky, and the egg dip had tons of bacon and gorgonzola. The chips are fried in house, so if you like thick, crispy, kettle style chips they're going to be a home run. As for sides, their roasted vegetables are great. Crisp still, but charred. A touch greasy though.
For drinks I've had their No. 17, which is good, but my hands down favorite is a brunch only thing. Their $5 Pitcha of Pimms. $5. That's right, a PITCHA. Omg. My husband and I both liked their tradtional blood mary, but I loved loved loved how tart, and refreshing the Pimms was. And that it was in a pitcher.
They also have a neat service style, where their wait staff 1) wear their own clothes and 2) they don't split their floor into areas for a particular server. This is very good, because it means that anybody who walks by your table is available to help you. They're all actually very good about making sure you're taken care of. It does get confusing making out who is who, but the few times I've been there I more or less see the same faces, so it's easy to see who's who after awhile.
The only downsides are that its small and popular, plus it has a teensy weensy parking lot. They're a lot like La Grande, they have free valet, but still. You should tip them, so it's not 'free'. It gets crowded as well, and quite noisy inside. Plus their menu is a wee bit limited. I'd like to see things get changed up a bit, as I'm running out of new things to eat going there. Doesn't change the fact that it's all great though!
