| - I'd consider this one to be a small to moderate size airport. Being that it was my first time landing/departing from Phoenix, I thought it was a nice airport overall. I found it very easy to navigate and loved the fact I didn't have to walk from one end to another and then jump on a huge shuttle and then walk some more. Nope, this was just a short walk to the baggage claim area (of course it would depend upon what gate you are at). From what I saw of it, I felt it offered the bare essentials in terms of food/drink. Of course larger airports do offer more selections, but then you will have to walk for it too! This one seemed just fine for what it offered.
On my departure, I had no issues with checking my luggage at the counter and the agent was efficient. Once upon a time when I thought having TSA precheck would help me get through lines faster, but silly me, that was so "back in the day" or was it last year? It just seemed like everyone also had it that day so the line didn't flow any much faster than the regular TSA line. I always allow extra time for this so it didn't matter.
One area I made use of was the lounge/charging area. I liked that it had little private areas, chairs and table areas too. There were plentiful charging options for phone or computers. I even had a lady come right up to my station, and just plug her phone in right next to mine. Didn't bother to ask. I just shook my head, but we all need some phone juice, right?? I had plenty of time to chill before my flight and found it overall decent.
I always love it when you get airports without any issues. You can get in/get out and everyone is happy!
