  • Harrah's in Las Vegas is next door to the Linq and is somewhat across the street from Caesars Palace. This Harrah's reminds me so much of Harrah's in Lake Tahoe. Even the layout of the casino and carpet is probably the same. Checking into the hotel was easy since I walked into a room specifically for Diamond and Seven Stars Total Rewards members and there was no line. I did notice that they do have kiosks out in the regular check in area, but I can't tell you if they are easy to use or if they're a pain in the ass to use like the ones at the Linq hotel. Cost wise, I literally paid $11 total to stay for one night on the weekend of 4th of July! Now I'm not sure why it was so cheap for me, but I am Diamond status with Total Rewards which means that resort fees are waived for me. That could possibly be the reason why it was so cheap, but I was not complaining! I believe Harrah's is one of the cheaper hotels to stay at on the strip. The room that we were in was old, but it was clean and it met our basic needs. There are still no USB ports near the bedside table to charge your cell phone. There are still no wall sockets to charge your cell near the beside unless you unplug a lamp which is pretty inconvenient. There is no fridge in the room. I did notice that this Harrah's only has a single bathroom versus the one in Lake Tahoe which has two full size bathrooms in a single room! There is a pool in the hotel, but we never actually went looking for it or had the urge to check it out since we were checking into Caesars Palace for the next 4 nights. Inside of the casino, there is a Starbucks and decent restaurants to dine at such as the Oyster Bar, but there are definitely much better food options out on the strip. Other than that, Harrah's is a very affordable hotel to stay in especially on the strip when everything is so expensive. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and if you're lucky, you may get a window view of the High Roller over at the Linq.
