  • Having paid this place a shot visit after an invite from the best from the west Johnson C, I always had it in the back of my mind to go here again and give this place a proper test. Walking past you would think it is closed, the window is tinted more black than a Mafioso's greenhouse. Also walking through the first door into a unlit entrance way is a cause for concern, imagine the walk back would be even tougher. On my first visit this place was pretty busy, but going again on a Sunday evening it was not too much so me and my buddie had our pick of seats. I am glad they only have the one TV showing any sort of sports, as would not have enjoyed it if there was an abundance of american rugby fans. So from what I know and have seen, the 25 beer options on the front page of their menu is constantly changing, making this very much one of the best beer joints in Toronto. I wanted to sample as many of the options as possible so there is a 5oz option (1/4 of a pint) available. Wont even try to list the ones I tried as I am hurting now thinking about it, but the one that stood out was the Flying monkey triple chocolate dark stout. Some crazy flavours going on there. My friend stuck to pints and they have this special sunday offer where it is $5 on selected draughts but the selection was minimal. Really should do an offer for the majority of the drinks there. Food wise we just stuck to some basic apps and although nothing super the beer battered shrimps were my favs with the drinks. As expected with a joint like this the waitress that tended to our table was super knowledgeable on the drinks and was a big help to us, newbies to craft beers, in making a choice. The 5oz samples are a great idea but maybe an offer like buy 4 get 1 free as the bill soon mounts up after trying the 25 on offer.
