| - Hadn't had a chance to get out on Saturday night in a while, but we were finally able to get out a couple of weeks ago. Needed to be on the Westside of town, so thought we'd hit up Jac's.
Lovely restaurant. As we didn't decide until late, when I called, they were no longer taking reservations, but I was able to add my name to the list. When we arrived 45 minutes later, we checked in and found a seat at the bar. Ordered the New Fashioneds based on a friend's recommendation. Barely received them, and our table was ready, right in the front window. Perfect. The drinks were tasty, basically a bourbon old fashioned.
We got the frites appetizer with the selection of aiolis, and burgers and the side salads.
The frites were fantastic, a healthy serving and the sauces each added just enough flavor without overwhelming the tasty frites.
The burgers were done just right. Her was the Jac's Classic and I had the Bacon Bleu. Both just hit the spot perfectly.
I also enjoyed a nice IPA, but the name escapes me. Nice tap list and craft cocktails. Tasty food and a fun view of Monroe Street. We'll be back.
